COVID-19 Remote Learning Student Resources
Students in Years 7-10 are to use the Microsoft Teams linked below to access an educational matrix to complete for the remainder of Term 1.
This matrix is designed to support young people with their learning in a self-directed, home resourced manner. While at home, your child will receive contact from a member of our school staff to support them in their learning on a regular basis.
With each completion of a task, a mini PBL merit will be awarded. When a line is completed, a class merit will be awarded.
There is some learning from home that will occur on Microsoft Teams. Teams is a very easy platform that can be used on a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, or computer. If this is difficult, ask your young people to try the other areas of learning that do not require a device.
THE LINKS BELOW ARE NOW LIVE. To log in to Microsoft Teams use your school email address e.g. [email protected] and computer/internet password.
Remote Learning Update
We have been very pleased to see the students of James Fallon High School embracing the changes to their learning environment. Lots of students have already joined our school Microsoft Team or collected a hard copy of the work from the school.
For the remainder of this term students can complete the work that has been provided on their own paper or in their own personal digital folders – whatever suits them best. Their teachers will touch base with them about how they went with this work once things get into a routine next term.
As we progress further with remote learning, classes will be formed in our Team and students will be allocated a digital Notebook where they can upload, store and share their work with their teachers. These classes will be organised over the next few weeks and students will be notified when they are ready to use. Hard copies of work will also be made available to next term if needed.
Until then, students should work to the best of their ability on the activities provided (and don’t forget to take some time to relax and spend time with your families).
We will be in touch!
We would like to pay our respects and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and also pay respect to Elders both past and present.
